How do I become a spray tan artist?
Most artists start by completing a spray tan certification course to learn solution selection, skin prep, application technique, and aftercare, then practice on models. The Sunless Bar Exam™ is built to take you from foundational skills to a tested, camera-ready standard.
Do you need a license to spray tan?
It depends on where you work. Spray tanning is regulated differently from state to state. Some require a cosmetology or esthetics license or a specific sunless permit, while others have no requirement. Always confirm your state and local rules. Certification demonstrates training, but it does not replace any license your state requires.
